Three sympathy cards....

I also made three sympathy cards the same way.

I'm going to show the pictures first and then give the details afterwards.

After doing the first two S-fold cards, I decided to run the mats through the cuttlebug--I forget to use that little buggar sometimes!!! And it adds so to the plain mats. Going to put more designs on my list of things to get.

I used the black out on page 78 to make mat and then to center sentiment for phrases.

I've been busy.....

Feeling better and running behind!

So I wanted to get some Birthday Cards done in advance, so I used my new favorite thing.....centering sentiments that I run off of the computer!!!

And then used one of my favorite cards....the S-fold card. You just have to be picky on the phrases and verses you use, because there is not alot of space for them.

The only difference is one has the word sister in it. That one is for a dear friend at church who calls me her sister (through the family of Christ our Savior)! The other difference is I increased the size of Happy Birthday--had more room than I thought. Oh, and forgot--I highlighted the flowers edge--as I did the did slightly on the edge of the sentiments.

Terry, my dear hubby, bought me a huge pack of all different colors of cardstock--from Hobby Lobby, I think. It has a HUGE hue of colors--I just love it. I cut one of each (they are 8 1/2 x 11), to have cards ready to make in a hurry.

I learned something new...

But first I'm going to keep my promise and give the imformation on this card.

This is the Doily Card on the Wild Card Cartridge page 52.
I used K&Company paper-Designer Paper
cut card @ 4"
cut env @ 4" (shift)
cut frame @ 4" (frame)
cut liner @ 4" (liner-shift)
cut liner @ 4" (liner)

I had seen that on a Cricut Expression, you can center something and draw a design around it....it scared me, but I thought..self--what the heck--I waste one sheet of paper....so--it worked--well, not exactly--I always forget that the cricut cuts landscape...so once I turned the paper (it does have a button I could have used to do it portrait) it worked PERFECT!!! I'm going to be using this alot--

I used it on the front with the Happy Birthday

and then for the verse on the inside.

I used CK Calligraphy, size 16 in black. I did shadow the print-outs with a teal and a black.

The envelope had a liner also, that looked great....

and the double sided paper with differenct colors added some zing!

If any of you have the Cricut Expression and have not tried this...I recommend it HIGHLY!!! I have trouble cutting words out--they always tear and I don't get the right size....and I don't have alot of stamps--I new at this and just starting out--so this is GREAT news for me!

Mary is making me look good....

A blog award from Mary. I feel so unworthy. I still am working on getting my work area together, and then maybe I'll try videoing!!! So many more are so much more deserving...I must pass it on to 6 others:

1. Diane at Capadia Designs
2. Christina at Creations with Christia
3. Joy at Joy's Life.com
4. Angie at Scrap Happens with Angie
5. Tracy at Craft Junkie Too
6. Carri at DoubleClick Connections

These lady's probably don't even know that I sneak in and peek around and get great ideas.

Thanks Mary.

And to those of you who are interested, I am going to change my the way I do my listings. Besides the pictures, I'm going to list the sizes (and brand if I have it) of the papers and mats, the cricut cartridges used, and other items used, such as the cuttlebug, peachy keen stamps, edge punches, etc. and sizes that I cut the items at.

Mary is so good at teaching, so I am learning from the best! Thanks so much!!

Decorating bookmarks.....

Do you read alot? I do, and I'm constantly loosing my place.

I've made bookmarks from beads, but I'm going to make some and decorate them.

I found this on Youtube and my mind has been turning ever since. I got the idea by viewing Dizy Lizzy's creations here. I'm thinking I can even put them in my birthday cards I send out--woohoo! Neat idea!!!

I'll post some pictures when I get some done!!!

Spent the day making 6 cherry note cards and 6 strawberry note cards and two boxes to hold them (got the directions here....it's will make a cool way to give them as gifts!

A Sympathy card for a gentleman who's father passed away. I had one made up with flowers and jewels, but I thought it looked to femine.

I really like the way this came out. I like the colors for a man. I like the S fold card.

My baby cards--using the Stretch your Imagination cartridge's baby. I used the layout Mary at cardz tv. The color on my photo doesn't do the card justice. I'm still learning with this new fancy camera my hubby got me for Christmas. Guess I should get the instructions out--but I just want to make cards and play with the Cricut!

I found this card organizer on Youtube with at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJozxfUqCqs I had to make up my own months and added to it by putting an address book in the back of the book.

This shows the pocket where the cards goes and the calander where the names go next to the date of their birthday or anniversary.

This is cool and I think it would make a neat gift.

I found a box to hold note cards and I'm going to work on that next---I think.

I almost forgot to show the front of the Card Organizer. I'm going to decorate it some with words and maybe a flowr or something.

I made this form and am going to make a folder. It keeps track of my cards--cartridges, mat sizes, and misc info--that way I don't have to keep checking on things.

Thanks to Mary again--

I made the one like yours for my wonderful hubby of 38 years.

Laura and Buttercup made the other one for their daddy.

The paper was some really cheap stuff in the Target bargin area for $1 for 8 pieces! Loved the red (kinda hot pink) with sparklie dots). And I had the dot
mat for my Cuttlebug. My ribbon came from Big Lots, but says 'families are forever'.

I think my colors and pictures are getting better. It wasn't my very nice camera that I got for Christmas--it was the person behind it--LOL!!

Found some 'new' things...

Well, I filled up the memory card in my camera, so my dh went and got me a bigger one...and I think I have figued out how to set the camera to get a better picture.

I'm going to be making a pull out shadow box card (really cool) and an Explosion Album Box--really neat too!

So come back soon, and I'll show you what I have done!!!

I love doing this!!!

Mary, Mary, Mary....

How can I thank you enough....

This is the front of my 'Squash Album' I made today....thanks to Mary at Cardz TV

This is the back of the album.

and the pictures and decorations.

And the front of my paper bag album...this one is alot of work.

I use alot of the stuff in the squash album that I got from Big Lots this weekend...so I guess that's why it was so much faster and easier. Didn't use my cricut once!!!! :-(

Laura will be giving the album to her boyfriends mom for her birthday tomorrow. She helped me get the pix off of facebook and print them off the computer.

Thanks again Mary for the fun way you present things and the professional videos you spend time doing for us!!!

A 'manly' birthday card with pink on the card....

It's a pink guitar with two signs--You ROCK and Party Like A Rocktar--

In gold at the bottom is stamped--happy birthday

The inside says...'Wishing you a one-of-a-kind birthday'--which I thought was appropriate for a handmade card!

The guitar was cut from Indie Art and the wording from some clear stamps I got from Michaels.

Fun Challenge.....
Thanks....Linda

A Valentine's card without a heart.....

Isn't he cute! I didn't think I had a frog, but he's on my Paperdoll Dress Up.

My hubby of 38 years helped me with the verse.....
I kissed a frog...
and found a Prince!

and we've been sharing a pad
ever since....

Happy Valentine's Day, Dear!!!

The kissing lips and smack came from Indie Art Solutions Cartridge.

I love these challenges...just have to find how to take better pictures!

Fun!

Another challenge....

Sorry the pictures didn't come out well. I'm going to have to experiment--the colors wash out when I use the flash and are yellowie when I don't.

Cricut Cardz Challenge

Make a Valentine's card using only green, lavender, black and white.

Heart was from Indie Art Solutions Cartidge--very elegant.
