A Birthday Card...

for my dear friend. I made it into a 'gift card holder' (Michaels) with just a few slits! She scrapbooks, so I know she will appreciate the time it took!

Love you Shelly!

Another 8 cards for OWH.....

Operation Write Home....do something for our soldiers, they appreciate it. You can't see it, but I bought borders for the Cuttlebug. I love it--it says 'with love'.

Here is an update to the Major's post.

HINT:Ever have to play with the cutting blade pressure or depth to get the right cut for your cardstock or paper? Ever wasted any of your favorite paper? Well, if you go to Above Rubies Studio website and go to the upper righthand corner and download her Cricut Cutting Guide for free! While you're there, check out her website! Morgan is great--one of my favorite sites.

Ever wonder if what you do is silly or ...

are you really serving. I want to be obediant to God. He had me crocheting and knitting for a long time, but my arthritis has gotten very painful in my hand, so hubby got me a Cricut to help with my card ministry. Then I found out about OWH (Operation Write Home) and started making cards for soldiers.

Today on facebook, this was posted from the OWH site: click here

I must tell you I cried. So ladies---please send those cards---the soldiers DO appreciate them and I think God is smiling!

Another Hint!
HINT: This White 'shadow box' made a HUGE improvement in my picture quality of the cards I make. The directions are listed on OWH page. Click here.

Thank you Mary....

Look at 3 of the eight cards I made today! I did them like Mary's on Cardz Tv, but started changing things around a little.

These are going to our soldiers via OWH.

I'm going to start adding tips and hints of stuff that I have found that is useful.

Hint:On youtube a lady posted to use Baby Wipes to remove tiny bits of paper off of the Cricut Mat that hold our paper. I tried this to two I was about ready to pitch and it worked. In fact, that was about 6 weeks ago and I'm still using them (plus I use them to wipe off my stamps!)

Hope that helps! I'll add more next time!

A card for a dear lady

that has a huge hurdle ahead of her....but her faith is strong!

For Cricut Cardz Challenge #20

This week's challenge is to make a card with a beach or summer theme using any cartridge(s) or colors you'd like.

The picture doesn't do this card justice. It is so cute with a palm tree (from Paper Doll Dress-up) and happy Sun, clouds and a dog with a rubber duckie ring around his waste (Paper Pups) and I just made waves and sand. It says beach party to me!

I LUV making cards with my cricut.....

Yesterday I spent all day making 4 cards for OWH (operation write home!) I used the Wild Card cartridge and the Doily card.

I don't think I will put the fancy flowers and big bow and ribbon on all of them.

The one in the center has two smaller ribbons together with a small bow--I like it!

I'm going to write a personal note across from the 'God Bless America'.

This will probably be a grandma Mother's day card or for my mom. You can't tell, but I used the Cuttlebug and embossed both the inside and outside round mats. Looks really pretty--copied this from my dear friend Mary at Cardz TV. She's been ill and I continue to pray for her health.

I started making Christmas tags so I won't be stressed at the last minute. I just got Joy of the Season cartridge and made these really quick! I'll use a "To and From" stamp or just a white pen to write on the back. I can't remember what size I used for these, but think I'll make them just a little bigger.

Baby shower..........

The blanket got done!!!

And then it was time to make the cards.

I used the peachy keen stamp for the face.

I forgot to take pictures of the tie die onsies Laura made--they were so cute.

Cardz Challenge #20

This week's challenge is to make a card with a beach or summer theme using any cartridge(s) or colors you'd like.

I'm so busy!!!!!

I'm crocheting a baby blanket!!! I found out Saturday that we are invited to a baby shower next Saturday--and I hate buying blankets when I can make them and pray over them....but I do need to make cards for the shower too--so I'll show them and the blanket when I get it done!

Dear daughter is going to and she is going to tye-dye a onsie! That should be darling (one of the baby-cards will be from her!)

Must get to hooking (oh--you know what I mean!!!)

Love card for OWH....

Cricut Cardz Challenge #19

This week's challenge is easy peasy! Anything goes! Make a card using any theme, colors or cartridge(s) you'd like.

I love the Paper Pups cartridge!
This card is:
5 1/2 x 4
pup & cat = 2 in.
heart = 1 1/2 in.
two heart brad like things ( used big bite )
ribbon (with Mary's faux tied on bow )
mat 5 1/4 X 3 3/4 ran thru cuttle bug (swirl)
stripped mat 1 1/2 x 3 3/4
Sentiment: "The task ahead of us
is never as great as
the power behind us." (from clear stamp set I bought @ Michael's--love this quote!)
photo corners (new Martha Stewart punch I got @ Michael's)

I didn't write this down as I did it-so may not be exact sizes.

I cut 8 in one day and put them together the next day. Lots of layering and took a lot of time--going to try and find one that's easier! So I can make them faster and send more! Hope our soldiers like them!
