A new Sympathy card for my stash.....

The card stock is K&Company Designer Paper Black & Ivory Fusion

You have to be carefull lining up the sentiment on the inside, so you don't see it from the outside of the card--and remember to only tape 1/2 of the front sentiment.

My friend, Shelly and I, decided to slow on the soldier cards, for just the moment, and build a supply of cards we may need for misc needs in our personal lives.

So here is a Z fold sympathy card I came up with.

And I hope these instructions make since.

Recipe for Sympathy Card (Z Fold):

Front: With Sympathy
Printed on Microsoft Word
Font:BixAntiqueScriptHmkBold (also with Bold turned on.)
Font Size:22
2
Inside: Death leaves a heartache
Only God can heal;
Love leaves memories
No one can steal.
Font:BixAntiqueScriptHmk (with Bold turned one.)
Font Size:16

Cut card base from 8 ½ x 11 card stock (can make 2 cards)
**Cut size 11 x 4 ¼

*Cut 2 mats (from pattern paper) (front & left inside)
2 ½ x 4
*Cut 1 mat (from pattern paper) (right inside)
5 ¼ x 4

Score card base @ 2 ¾ and 5 ½

With Stretch your Imagination Cricut Cartridge
Cut Shadow on page 78 (5.7)

**2 black (card base color) @ 3 ¼
*2 pattern paper @ 3
2 around sentiment (using center on Cricut Expression) @ 2 ¾

(I always cut a plain one and check the placement and centering
of the sentiment – luckily this cartridge has a frame the same size
make it easy to check the placement.)

I used ink to shadow all edges. I did not use any pop dots—since it
Will most likely be mailed.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs,
Linda

I've got a friend....

that loves me enough to make me a card---yup....it's Shelly! Thanks you sweet heart--I love & pray for you too--have a great (and safe) vacation!

This is a card I saw on the discussion board--Loved it--will change some of the sizes next time, but for the first one--I like it. I'm going to at some glossy accents to the flowers and maybe to the 'with sympathy'.

I'm loving that new 'contour' method--that's how I made the frame on the card above.

Three sympathy cards....

I also made three sympathy cards the same way.

I'm going to show the pictures first and then give the details afterwards.

After doing the first two S-fold cards, I decided to run the mats through the cuttlebug--I forget to use that little buggar sometimes!!! And it adds so to the plain mats. Going to put more designs on my list of things to get.

I used the black out on page 78 to make mat and then to center sentiment for phrases.

A Sympathy card for a gentleman who's father passed away. I had one made up with flowers and jewels, but I thought it looked to femine.

I really like the way this came out. I like the colors for a man. I like the S fold card.

My baby cards--using the Stretch your Imagination cartridge's baby. I used the layout Mary at cardz tv. The color on my photo doesn't do the card justice. I'm still learning with this new fancy camera my hubby got me for Christmas. Guess I should get the instructions out--but I just want to make cards and play with the Cricut!

I found this card organizer on Youtube with at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJozxfUqCqs I had to make up my own months and added to it by putting an address book in the back of the book.

This shows the pocket where the cards goes and the calander where the names go next to the date of their birthday or anniversary.

This is cool and I think it would make a neat gift.

I found a box to hold note cards and I'm going to work on that next---I think.

I almost forgot to show the front of the Card Organizer. I'm going to decorate it some with words and maybe a flowr or something.

I made this form and am going to make a folder. It keeps track of my cards--cartridges, mat sizes, and misc info--that way I don't have to keep checking on things.
