It's Been How Long?

I made hubby's Valentine card today.  Earlier I did 10 using the same cuts but with different embellishments and papers, but they all look so different.  Hubby and I have been married for over 40 years, and we don't to mushie--we do sincere!  So this is what I came up with....

The lemons are cut at 1.8 on the front of the card and one I used the 'flip' option.  I lemons are from the Preserves cart.  The inside lemon was cut at 2.5.  The heart is from Doodlecharms cart and I think the one on the front is about 2.5 and the inside ones are about .3!  Small--I love my Imagine for those small cuts!  I use a Imagine cart to cut the color on the lemon and hearts.  I used Lemon Flower DCWV paper for the mats.  The sentiments are from my new stamps from Mary at Cards TV--love them!

Just made this one....

in case I hear of a friend getting sick. You always need one around.

This is from the Doodlecharm cartridge. The jar and 'stick' are on page 95. The 'bug' is from the same cartridge on page 92. I printed the sayings off on the computer.

Guess what I got....guess what I got...

Yup---my Cricut--it was so funny--I hadn't talked to anybody since Thursday--and was going to call them yesterday--but decided to give that day to them....so I was loaded for 'bear' this morning when I called about 9:05am and the wonderful Heidi told me it was being delivered today--she said, 'infact it shows it's setting at your front door on the poarch'! Well, it was, and being handicapped--it wasn't easy getting it in the house-but I was determined. So here is the card I made today--I think it is the best I've ever done. I guess I learned alot watching Youtube for 3 weeks learning new techniques!!!

I used my little finger dabber and brown ink and gave the 'distressed' look to everything.

I used the Doodlecharm cartridge for both the basket and apples.

I added the little white dots. I removed the 'holes' that were suppose to be there by using my Gypsy.

I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and more cartridge for the border around the sentiment. I printed it out on my computer.

I'm so happy now.

More to come later!

I'm BACK!!!!

I saw this card posted on a discussion group and thought it was cute. It said "Your one of a kind", but I had a stamp that says, "there is no one like you"--which is kind of the same thing.

The apples and the oval are from the DOODLECHARM cartridge, which I haven't used much.

The apples are cut at 1" and the red ones are on one foam tape and the yellowish-green one is on two foam tape. I used the EK scalloped scallopes boarder punch and a circle punch to make holes.

I got the paper work to send the Cricut back, but I think it's a wire problem, because if I fiddle with the wire, I can get it to come on.....so while it's working....I'm cutting like crazy.

I'm going to send it back at the first of next week, so I can cut with it and then hopefully get mine back before the weekend!

So...until next time--this is my two new cards for OWH!

Hugs,
Linda

I have a challenge.....(Cardz Challenge #17)

for all you that make cards for challenges! What do you do with them?

On the side of this blog is a link to OWH--Operation Write Home! Sending the cards to soldiers, serving us. Let's face it--there ain't no Hallmark Stores around the corner from their quarters!

The reward....that warm feeling inside that you have done something good!

My daddy was in WWII. I wish someone would have done this for him.

My feeling is: If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them!
