I'm so embaressed...

I can't find the cartridge I used to make this. The color is so pretty and the picture I took is so bad. I used the DCWV Black Currant paper and an stamp I think I got from Pink Stamper

I used some of the cut out pieces for the corners on the inside.

Love this whale card from Create a critter cartridge. This is a card for the sick little boy listed on Mary's site, CARDZ TV. Please pray about this and send a card if you are moved to, and thank God if your kids are well!

The inside Get Well is from a new die cut I got--so much easier than cutting little words with the cricut (did I say that?--I love my Cricut!)

Thanks for looking.

I saw this on another blog....

Card Creations by C

and my daughter fell in love with it....

so I made one!

Now I'm making a heart on (already with charm circle) for her boyfriend. I've got it cut out from Doodlecharm (the one with scallops around it.)
I used the I (heart) U from the George Basics.

Lovin' it.

I got my new wirerless Canon printer today! It's wonderful! I use alot of computer generated sayings, so this is going to be a lot less hassel than breaking out the laptop and then hooking it up to the printer and then printing it off! Thank you hubby!

(I used the same recipe as Christina on her video!)

A good day of card makin'!

I've got a quick quiz I want everyone to comment on. I think this will be fun.
****************
If you had to go into a bomb shelter for the next five years (got your interest yet?) and you knew you could take all your cartridges and mats and papers--but hubby said you could only take five of your accessories you use to make cards (or pages)--what five of your favorite tools would you take? I'll post mine at the end of this post.
****************

Another dear dear friend lost his dear dear friend. I had recently noticed a card done in all black and white. I thought it was very attractive, so I used the idea on this card.

I couldn't get the printer to work on the new laptop--so I'll have to wait to add the sentiments. Hope he likes it. Max was a great side-kick! He was a big black lab and that's why I thought the black/white theme worked.

And now for the little surprise on the inside.

I have a niece, a nephew and a brother-in-law that have birthdays in February....so I decided to start on the cards....and the first one was so cute I made another one just like it. I thought it was the cutest one I had made....and alot had to do with my new Action Wobbles on the owl (I've asked dear hubby for the flip-video camera)--so maybe soon I will have action shots!

And now for the little surprise on the inside.

A close-up of the sentiment and I added one of the little owls of the set with it. I think I got a sheet of 'owl' related sayings and stamps from Michael's quite awhile ago...glad I thought of it....normally I find them after the fact!

Branch on other side--but basicly the same thing.

So I ran out of the same paper and was concerned about using a darker and pattern background....then I realized I like it best--also used an embossing folder with it too.

I used the Create a Critter cartridge and cut it at 2 1/4" I think probably the perfect size. I thought about adding ribbon or boarder punch--but think the button was enough.

Now--what 5 tools would I take with me:

We R Memory Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper

My Gypsy

My Stamps and ink pads

My I-rock with jewels

My paper cutter

This wasn't easy. I thought of my tool set and ribbons and boarder punches, but there are alot of boarders on the cartridges.

Now I am assuming someone would take a camera, computer and printer. Seems logical to me.

Now, I was really surprized at how hard this was. I would be interested to hear what everyone else conciders their 'must haves' to do what we do.

Until next time.....

2 more cards...

had seen this on someones page...and they used the peachy keen face stamps--so I got mine out. This was an easy card, but I got my Action Wobbles after it was done. I might take the middle one off (I popped it up with a demintional) and put it on any action wobble.
I think I got the flower from George Basic. Used the I-rock to and a little bling.

I'm really enjoying putting a 'surprise' on the inside! On the inside I used a set of flower punches I got from Taget--I think they are EK. And used a Martha Stewart 'branch' punch for a little leafy green.

I got the water from Everyday Paper Doll on page 41--I've used this before. The 'sand' is just torn brown paper. The crab, sandcastle and shells came from Create A Critter page 40.

The hearts are a Martha Stewart punch--which I love! The flower and layers are from the new Mother's Day Bouquet--which I love--it also has about 9 leaves--which I used under the flower. I used the new ACTION WOBBLES

which are way cool--I didn't get in on the freebies--but was in the first shipment of wobbles sold! I'm soooo happy!

The flower on the inside is a Nellie Snellen punch and embosser--cool! I did the inside with the I-Rock.

Hope you enjoy!

Just felt like doing a skunk today...

and what better cartridge than Create a Critter?

And I've come to learn to love adding a little surprise on the inside.

I used a large butterfly punch and heart punch (both Martha Stewart) and the boarder punch--also Martha's. I think the stamp (Stinkin' CUTE) is My Pink Stamper Stamps: Punny-licious. Going to get more of those--love her stamps.

Don't forget to comment--love comments!!!!

I needed a thank you card....

for Laura to send to her grandma for a B-day present. She LOVES cats and I thought the 'Purrfect' would be good for thank you for the cute blouses she got. The cat is from the Cindy Loo cartridge and the Purrfect is from the Create a critter cartridge.

And the sewing machine is for me to write a note to my mom. She is a retired alterations woman for a wonderful boutique for over 30 years! The sewing machine came from the Heritage cartridge and the buttons are from a punch I got at the Archivers in St. Louis.

Too rich, too pretty, too much fun...are those possible?

Well, this is too much fun! How could people not just love doing this? And I LOVE the Create-a-Critter Cartridge! My baby is 17 yrs old and didn't think I needed this cartridge--I WAS WRONG!!! Don't let that stop you from getting it!! It makes the cutest cards!

The next time I make this card, I will make the igloo and penguin a little smaller. I think I did this one at 3" and the Just Chillin' at 2" (the Just Chillin' might be wrong--I honestly don't remember and didn't write it down). I used a pink mat and a white one--which I ran through the embosser with the snow flakes. It's been in the upper 90's here and I think it made me feel cooler just making this card! LOL!

Tell me what you think!

Hugs,
Linda

Toad-ally Fabulous darling

I LOVE my 'Create-A-Critter' cart, and now love the My Pink Stamper Punny-licious stamps.

This is the first card in the cartridge and I love the way it layers now!

I think I cut the frog @ 3"
The striped mat (5 1/4 x 4) is DCWV Flower Shower Spring Stack
The Tree Mat (5 x 3 3/4) is My Mind's Eye-Summer Song

I used the Cuttlebug-divine Swirl for the blue water
and left a 'unembossed' edge at the bottom to stamp 'Toad-ally Fabulous!"

I ordered a stamp for the back of my cards today. I found this really cool web-site Paper Angel Heavenly Rubber Stamps.

I think this is the one I ordered.

I also ordered a cute return address stamp with just my name.

Oh my gosh....

I just received my "My Pink Stamper" stamps 'Punny-licious'! It is just 'purr-fect' for my new Create-A-Critter cart!

My head is spinning with ideas and my Cricut Expression isn't cutting fast enough to keep up! I will have lots to post soon! Stay tuned! I'm going to go buy all the other stamps--they are soooo cool!

Go here to order. My Pink Stamper.

Oh, and I got my Fabulous Finds cart today and cans see many great possiblities with it too!

I have a dear friend that had hip replacement yesterday....

so I made her a card. This wonderful lady is known as "Nana" in our church because she adopted all the kids as her own grandchildren.

Madison and Huntsville are very unusual towns where 95% of the people are from somewhere else, so most grandparents are somewhere else. Several have stepped up to be 'local grandparents' and it is so greatly appreciated by the parents of these kids that get the knowledge and love from 'Paw-Paws & Maw-Maws' locally!

Hope she get's a 'kick' out of my sense of humor!

I have a sick friend...

and I hope she likes the card I made.

I embossed the white mat (5 1/4 x 4) with the Swiss Dots and made the waves with the Divine Swirl (Cuttlebug). I think I cut the whale (Create a Critter) at 3 inches and added silver stickles for the water. I used google eyes and got the cloud ( 1 inch and shadow 1 1/4 inch--using center cut on my Expression) from the Hello Kitty cartridge.

I hope it gets a smile out of her.

New projects....

In a pickle? I thought this was sooo cute...some didn't agree, but I'm sending it to my mom how is rehab for a broken hip! These are my fake buttons--going to use yarn and pop-dots next time. This is from the "Just Because" cards cartridge.

Getting there card is also from the Just Because cartridge....also a great card for my mom 'getting' through rehab for her broken hip...so she can get home!
This is going to have a flower added in the upper left hand corner--next time I'll make the dog bigger--sending this to Operation Write Home!

Yep--another one for my "Mudder"! She'll love it! We had a milk cow on the farm in Kentucky where I spent my early growing years! That old cow wouldn't stay out of our garden and she loaded Daddy's shot gun and shot her in the hind-quarters! She didn't get back in that garden for a L-O-N-G time! This is my favorite new cartridge- Create a Critter! So much fun!

This is a cool bird and will send this (plus several others similar to OWH). This is from my expensive new cartridge (normally order on Internet on sale or ebay) Straight from the Nest. It is an exclusive to HSN and must be bought on TV or their on line store. Love this cartridge.

Got some cute little stamps from Archiver's in St. Louis. I'm waiting for some from Pink Stamper!

Hint time again:
Go to 'Obsessed with Scrapbooking' and download and print out the 'Cricut cutting guide' that you can attach to the inside of the top of your Cricut! It works! Thanks Joy!
