Two cards I made yesterday...

This one is for a very very dear niece, who was born one year and two days after my wedding, and is having a birthday this month. I live in Alabama and she lives in Va Beach.....so I haven't seen her or her twins in a very long time! I have a cupcake punch that makes a small--very small cupcake that I will probably add to the inside corner--0h yeah--and a gift card from Target--I love Taget!!! I used the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge--I just love that cartridge--and have a Happy Birthday stamp for the inside! I just love pink and brown together--going to have to go back to Hobby Lobby and get some more of that pokadot paper--I just love pokadots too!

This picture just doesn't do this card right! It is beautiful--even if I do say so myself!!

This one is for the best husband on this earth! And he's been my hubby for almost (4 Dec) 39 wonderful years. I used the Cindy Loo cartridge for the flower and the Lacy Labels Lite cartridge for the two scallops. The 'perals' are from my I-rock (love that tool!) I used red stickles on the flower part. I got this idea from a card that I saw on Tammy E.'s blog, Paper Pastimes of a Scrapbooking Mimi. If you've never gone to her site, you have a wonderful experience waiting for you! Thanks again Tammy, as I 'borrow' one of your ideas again. Just click on her website name to go to her blog--you won't be sorry. I hope Terry likes his card, and it is true, without him I would be very boring!!!!

I needed a thank you card....

for Laura to send to her grandma for a B-day present. She LOVES cats and I thought the 'Purrfect' would be good for thank you for the cute blouses she got. The cat is from the Cindy Loo cartridge and the Purrfect is from the Create a critter cartridge.

And the sewing machine is for me to write a note to my mom. She is a retired alterations woman for a wonderful boutique for over 30 years! The sewing machine came from the Heritage cartridge and the buttons are from a punch I got at the Archivers in St. Louis.

Thank you again Tammy....

I've always loved the rose on Indie Art cartridge and I love the colors that this card used.

I didn't emboss anything, but besides that, I through the kitchen sink at this one.

I used glossy accents on the rose and frame--I really missed using my DS/or Gypsy!

I used a frame on Cindy Loo--didn't even know they where there!

Thanks for stopping by and I love comments!

New favorite cartridge.......

is Cindy Loo! Look at this cute Squirrel! Next time I'll use more exciting colors, but my daddy use to hunt and our squirrels were grey!!! I printed out 'I'm NUTS about you' on my computer and used a circle punch to cut it out! I tried to do it on the Gypsy--but I'm too slow, much too impatient and not sure I could have fit it in the small spot!

I posted this in an earlier blog, but I found I had not done the layer for the body of the BEE, so I cut it out, added it to the body and slopped on some of 'Arleene's Paper Glaze'! Much better!!

Thanks for stopping by! Oh, I love getting comments--leave me a note and let me know what you think--I love new ideas and hints and tips (and now that I have a Gypsy--I need alot!)

Hugs,
Linda

Been playing with my new gypsy...

I used Arleen's -whiny stuff (like Glossy Accents) to see if it was the same. Not quite as raised but $2.00 cheaper at Michael's per 2 oz!

I think I made my Bee and Honey thingy to big so made to cards and put the saying for the Bee on the inside!

The out side of my pop-up flower card--Love you bunches--on the inside I put--told you so!
