Two cards from Mother's Day Bouquet..

I just love this Solutions cartridge and use it alot to accessorize my cards, but it makes beautiful card on it's own.

I used embossing folders on the background mats--divine swirl a Cuttlebug folder and Starry Night a Sizix folder--and I used my most used folder on the flowers--Swiss Dots by Cuttlebug.

The papers where just mixtures of pieces I had left over. I think I started cutting at 3 1/2" and went down by 1/2" to about 1 1/2 and used brads to hold them together in the middle. I think they turned out cute and could be used with so many different colors and papers that they would never look the same.

These will be leaving to go to our troops soon to Operation Write Home, if you find some time on your hands or extra cards, please consider sending cards to them. As one of them stated, there are no Hallmarks around the corner here!

Hug to you all!

Don't forget--I thrive on comments!

I've been busy and sick..

I'm so sorry these are dark.

I use a shadow box and made a new one, but my light burned out and being handicapped, I can't change it. I didn't want to make cards in the dark, so decided to catch up on my blogging--but the pics are alittle dark

I made a few of these for our St. Louis family. We didn't go home for Christmas and we just got our presents in the mail, last week, so these are a few of the 'Thank you's' for our presents.

This strawberry and sentiment came from the Country Life Cartridge page 56.

My favorite 'doily card' from Wild Card Cartridge (one of my first) page 52. I made the flower with the Mother's Day Bouquet Seasonal Cartridge (I recommend this one to anyone who likes to use flowers--options are endless!) and the Butterfly is from a Martha Stewart punch (she makes the best!)and a couple of misc stamps I got from Michaels. This is a card that will be in my storage folder for one of those birthdays that sneak up on me.

Guess this is enough for this one.. stay tuned...got more coming!

A sympathy card and Valentines card

A genealogy friend and cousin lost his wife last week. They had a rare, close and loving relationship and he is going to need lots of prayers to deal with his loss. I made this card for him.

My inspiration was a card by Tammy E. with a few tweeks of my own. She is such a wonderful Christian example of how cards can be used to pass on the love of Jesus Christ. Thanks again Tammy for your beautiful work and your loving soul!

I used paper from a pack that my friend Shelly had given me a while back
the card base was cut from A Childs Year (card function 3rd row-7th button over-3.7)--cut at 5 1/4 in.
I printed the words off the computer and used the center cut on the expression (sorry--I forgot what I cut it at) with the scalloped oval from Forever Young

I got a new butterfly punch from Martha Stewart (at Michaels) and used a 40% off coupon so it was under $6! It has one small butterfly and two smaller ones--I love it.

I used my Irock and was having trouble--then realized the batteries where going dead-dah!
I used the Mother's Day Bouquet to make the little flowers.

I couldn't sleep last night so I designed this card on my Gypsy (love that little tool and just got the 6 foot cord that connects to the Cricut--nice!

Here is the card I designed about 3am! Love the pop-up

The front I used the two backgrounds from Storybook and the Hugs & Kisses from Wild Card. I used the lips and the "Smack" from Indie Art.

Thanks for stopping by and leave a comment if you have the time.

2 more cards...

had seen this on someones page...and they used the peachy keen face stamps--so I got mine out. This was an easy card, but I got my Action Wobbles after it was done. I might take the middle one off (I popped it up with a demintional) and put it on any action wobble.
I think I got the flower from George Basic. Used the I-rock to and a little bling.

I'm really enjoying putting a 'surprise' on the inside! On the inside I used a set of flower punches I got from Taget--I think they are EK. And used a Martha Stewart 'branch' punch for a little leafy green.

I got the water from Everyday Paper Doll on page 41--I've used this before. The 'sand' is just torn brown paper. The crab, sandcastle and shells came from Create A Critter page 40.

The hearts are a Martha Stewart punch--which I love! The flower and layers are from the new Mother's Day Bouquet--which I love--it also has about 9 leaves--which I used under the flower. I used the new ACTION WOBBLES

which are way cool--I didn't get in on the freebies--but was in the first shipment of wobbles sold! I'm soooo happy!

The flower on the inside is a Nellie Snellen punch and embosser--cool! I did the inside with the I-Rock.

Hope you enjoy!

I Love the new Mother's day Bouquet.....

I really didn't know about the challenge at Cricut Cardz Challenge until I was just 'surfin' the net' with my card blogs and realized I had just made a card that fit the requirements.

I used the thingy on Storybook & flowers from the new soloutions cartridge Mother's Day Bouquet. Used my I-rock to add some bling. Also cut a layer for the flower out of a OLD encyclopidia page (rescued from a re-sale store--$.50--)

The card is much prettier than the pix.

I got two new cartridges today....

Designer's Calendar and Mother's Day Bouquet. Haven't played with the Calendar cartridge yet, but look at the pretty flower I made. I used a stamp with words and cut a flower and the rest are just plain white cartridge that I inked on the edges and the biggest one I used Stickles. These are going to look great on cards! I used a pearl as the center!
