I've been busy and my internet was down!!!

I have a niece that has twins, one of each. Brianna's Birthday is Oct 30 and Bradley's is Oct 31--so he got the halloween birthday card.

This is from the Rock Princess cartridge--perfect for a 14 year old girl!!!

This is a similar card I made before, but I added flying bats and 'dripping blood' (Martha Stewart 'drippy goo' ?? punch) to the card. Inside I added a spider web and spider. I was going to make a holder for the card, but it came on a cardboard thing that you write down their name and the amount and who it is from, so I just added some adheisive and there you go! This came from the Paperdoll dress up.

Hope they like these! They were really fun to make. I used my Gypsy, and I have a template I use on the A2 cards--one tall--one wide, it really helps me size them before I cut. I have the Expression, but also have the bug and use it most of the time (unless I need a bigger size or need to use the center point.) All the other stuff I can add with the Gypsy--I also have the Design Studio on my computer--but use the Gypsy more now.

I'll post the other cards later.

Hope everyone is well!

Hugs--
Linda

Finished the cards I was hired to make!

It's not as much fun as u would think! Now I get to do what I want to do! Actually, I'll be making cards for a friends fund-raising auction....but I feel this is what I need to do next.

So here are the cards I made. Dear hubby helped me with the birthday card for the guy in the Navy. Used the Stand and Salute cartridge on this one.

I had some wavy 'foil-like' paper that I just had to use--so found a boarder with little boats and water--and I think it works!

I like the way the frame looks and cut it in blue and white and just used the white hat--"lightly" inked around it so it wouldn't get lost in the phase. The button in the right top corner I pick up in a pack a long time ago. I came close several times to throwing it out--but it has and anchor on it and worked great.

The other birthday card is one for a guy that has a birthday on Halloween! I used the layout and cut-outs that Mary at Cardz TV made last year. The cartridge used was Paper Doll Dress-up. I added the google eyes in the background--thought that gave it a 'spooky' look too!

I don't remember where I got the 'happy birthday-the 50 candles or the cup cake' If I find them later I will update!.

Both these cards are made 8 1/2 x 5 1/2--and had to make lots of adjustments on my sizing.

Hint: Use cute buttons for accents--just use scissors or wire cutters to cut off the hooping thing on the back--and a extra tip--put your hand and button and scissors/wire cutters in a bag--so if it goes flying off--it's in the bag and you don't have to go looking for it! I use a large (gallon?) zip-lock top bag. Sometimes I have to use a nail file to smooth the back down to flat.

Remember--I thrive on comments!!!!

Until next time!!

I've been surfing YouTube again.....

and founds these cool pop-up cards(click on cool pop-up cards to see video)

I think I'm going to put a few flowers on the front and "Luv u a bunch" on the outside of the card....

and then put on the inside--'told you so!'

Now the one I made--I cut out like on the video--but I found several eight pedalled flowers that I think will work on the Cricut.

The one I think I will try first is on Forever Young, row 5, 3rd one over, using the shift and first function button. I'll do that this week and post a photo later.

Here are two father's day cards that Terry's getting tomorrow--Laura's is super dad (Terry has a beard and mustache)from Paper doll dress up

and the cup cake is an 'I love you' card from Indie Art.

Hope you like.

Linda

For Cricut Cardz Challenge #20

This week's challenge is to make a card with a beach or summer theme using any cartridge(s) or colors you'd like.

The picture doesn't do this card justice. It is so cute with a palm tree (from Paper Doll Dress-up) and happy Sun, clouds and a dog with a rubber duckie ring around his waste (Paper Pups) and I just made waves and sand. It says beach party to me!

A Valentine's card without a heart.....

Isn't he cute! I didn't think I had a frog, but he's on my Paperdoll Dress Up.

My hubby of 38 years helped me with the verse.....
I kissed a frog...
and found a Prince!

and we've been sharing a pad
ever since....

Happy Valentine's Day, Dear!!!

The kissing lips and smack came from Indie Art Solutions Cartridge.

I love these challenges...just have to find how to take better pictures!

Fun!
